Frequently Asked Questions
How much of a time commitment is this team?
The season runs August through May with approximately two practices per week and around 15 tournaments. Most tournaments are played on weekends.
Are tournaments local or will there be travel?
Most tournaments will be in the Phoenix metro area, with occasional travel depending on team interest and opportunities. No guarantees of out of town/state tournaments as of now.
Will my child play every game?
All players will bat & play the field during pool play, but playing time and lineup decisions in bracket or championship games may vary based on game situations and team needs. Development is priority over winning.
How are positions decided?
Players will be developed at multiple positions. Positions are earned based on effort, attitude, attendance, performance, and what will help the team as a whole succeed.
Will my child get the opportunity to pitch?
We aim to develop as many players as possible on the mound, but pitching opportunities are earned based on readiness, ability, and team needs. We want to put kids in positions to learn, but also be confident & succeed.
What happens if we miss a practice or tournament?
We understand occasional conflicts happen. Communication in advance is expected, but frequent absences may impact playing time and development. The more communication, the better.
Are we required to attend every tournament?
While full participation is encouraged, we understand families have other commitments. Please communicate any conflicts as early as possible and we will try to relay dates as early as we have them.
What do monthly dues cover? How much are they?
Dues for 2026-2027 cover tournament fees, uniforms, field rentals & lighting (biggest expense), insurance, registration fees, baseballs, general equipment, and other team operations. They are $225 per month with a one-time $150 fee for registration, 2 jerseys, & their hat.
Are there additional costs during the season?
Additional costs may include additional uniforms if ordered, travel, lodging, meals, gate fees at miscellaneous parks, and optional training or gear.
What happens if my child decides to leave the team?
A 30 day notice is required. The final month’s payment collected up front will be applied to that period. No refunds are issued.
What if my child gets injured?
Please communicate any injuries immediately and everything will be evaluated on a case by case basis regarding roster spots & such. We will ALWAYS support the player’s health FIRST and want what’s best for them!
How is communication handled?
GameChanger will be used for schedules and updates, with additional communication via text and email. You are always welcome to reach out directly.
What is expected from parents during games?
Parents are expected to be positive, supportive, & respectful at all times. No coaching from the stands, please, and respect for umpires and opponents is required. We want our team to have a GREAT reputation!
What makes a family a good fit for this team?
Families who are supportive, positive, committed, and team-first in mindset will thrive in this environment.
What is the overall goal of this program?
The goal is to develop well rounded players through fundamentals, effort, and strong habits while creating a competitive and enjoyable team environment for both players and families.
